2023 Oak Phansa Ceremony & Tak Bat Thewo Festival

After the annual three-month period of Buddhist Lent, Oak Phansa is the last day of the retreat.  After Oak Phansa day, monks are free to travel and leave from one temple to another temple.

"Tak-bat-thewo" means "offering food to Buddhist monks". The celebration portrays the event of Buddha's return to earth. On this day Buddha had opened the three worlds which are the Heaven, the Earth, and the Hell for all to see. 

The ceremony will be held at the temple on, Sunday October 29th, 2023. The schedule is as follows:

            06:00 AM        Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform morning chant

            07:00 AM        Offer breakfast to monks and the 8 percepts participants

            10:00 AM        Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform morning chant

            11:00 AM        Offer lunch to monks and the 8 percepts participants

            01:00 PM         Listen to Dharma (Buddha’s teachings)

            03:00-5:00 PM   Buddhism and meditation lessons

            06:00 PM         Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform evening chant

วันออกพรรษา เป็นวันที่พระภิกษุอธิษฐานใจจะอยู่เป็นที่ครบสาม เดือน     นับแต่วันแรม ๑ ค่ำ เดือน ๘ ถึงวันขึ้น ๑๕ ค่ำเดือน  ๑๑  ครบสามเดือนที่ได้ตั้งใจไว้      สามารถเดินทางไปไหนมาไหนได้

วันตักบาตรเทโว    เรียกอีกนัยหนึ่งว่า     ตักบาตรเทวดา      เป็นวันที่พระพุทธองค์เสด็จลงจาก สวรรค์ชั้นดาวดึง  มีเหตุการณ์ที่สำคัญยิ่ง   เป็นวันที่พระพุทธองค์ทรงแสดงอภินิหาร  เปิดโลกทั้งสาม  คือ  โลก  สวรรค์   โลกมนุษย์  และโลกนรก    ให้มองเห็นกัน    และกันอย่างชัดเจนเพื่อความเรียบร้อยในการ จัดงาน  ได้กำหนดจัดพิธีกรรม  เป็นหลักปฏิบัติตามลำดับดังนี้

            เวลา ๐๖.๐๐ น.   พระสงฆ์และผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม ทำวัตรเช้า แปล

            เวลา ๐๗.๐๐ น.   ถวายภัตตาหารเช้าแด่พระสงฆ์   และผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม

            เวลา ๑๐.๐๐ น.   พระสงฆ์พร้อมสาธุชนทำวัตรเช้า แปลพระสงฆ์ออกรับบิณฑบาต

            เวลา ๑๑.๐๐ น.   ถวายภัตตาหารเพลแด่พระสงฆ์และผู้ปฏิบัติสาธุชนรับประทานอาหารร่วมกัน

            เวลา ๑๕.๐๐ ๑๗.๐๐ น. มีพระธรรมเทศนาหนึ่งกัณฑ์

            เวลา ๑๘.๐๐ น.   พระสงฆ์ผู้ปฏิบัติธรรมพร้อมสาธุชน ทำวัตรเย็น แปล

จึงขอเชิญท่านสาธุพุทธศาสนิกชน ได้มาร่วมทำบุญเสริมสร้างบุญกุศลวาสนาบารมีธรรม ให้กับตนเอง ได้ตามวันเวลาสถานที่ดังกล่าวแล้วโดยความพร้อมเพรียงกันด้วย
