Visakhabucha Day is a full moon day in the sixth lunar month. It is considered the most important day in Buddhism because it combines three important days of the Buddha ‘s life. These days are the Day of Birth, the Enlightenment Day, and the Day of Death.
The Day of Birth is the day that the Buddha was given birth by his mother under a Bodhi tree in Lumpini Forest. This forest is located between Kabilpus and Tewataha, and is currently known as the town of Ruminday in Nepal.
Enlightenment Day is the day that the Buddha had ultimately attained enlightenment. He did this by achieving three types of wisdom within three nights of his meditation. On the first night, he gained knowledge of the events during his past lives. On the second night, he was able to ascertain the moment of death of all animals and beings. On the last night, the Buddha was able to find the way to end all suffering. It was during this last night that the Buddha was finally enlightened at the age of 45.
The Day of Death is the day that the Buddha passed away. He was said to be meditating in a forest located adjacent to the town of Kusinara. He was 80 years of age and had been in monkhood for 51 years.
Atthameebuja Day is Buddha’s cremation day. This year, Wat Buddharangsi will also observe Atthameebuja Day on Sunday, May 24, 2024 as well.
This year the full moon day in the sixth lunar month is Saturday June 4th. For convenience of the majority of our members, Wat Buddharangsi will observe Visakhabucha Day on Sunday May 26, 2024. The schedule is as follows:

10:00 AM Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform morning chant
11:00 AM Offer lunch to monks and the 8 percepts participants
01:00 PM Public led by monks carry candle, incenses and flower walking clockwise three times around the religious hall
01:30 PM Listen to Dharma (Buddha’s teachings)
03:00-5:00 PM Buddhism and meditation lessons
06:00 PM Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform evening

วันวิสาขบูชา เป็นวันประสูติ ตรัสรู้ และวันปรินิพพาน ขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมา- สัมพุทธเจ้า ปีนี้ตรงกับวันที่ ๒๖ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๗
วันอัฏฐมีบูชา เป็นวันถวายพระเพลิงพระพุทธสรีระ ขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า เพื่อความสะดวกพร้อมเพรียง ในการบำเพ็ญบุญ ในทั้งสองวันดังกล่าว โดยมีกำหนดการประกอบพิธีกรรมดังนี้

เวลา ๐๗.๐๐ น. ถวายภัตตาหารเช้าแด่พระสงฆ์และผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม
เวลา ๑๐.๐๐ น. พระสงฆ์พร้อมผู้ปฎิบัติธรรมและสาธุชนทำวัตรเช้า (บาลี-ไทย)
เวลา ๑๐.๓๐ น พระสงฆ์ ออกรับบิณฑบาต
เวลา ๑๑.๐๐ น. ถวายภัตตาหารเพลแด่พระสงฆ์ และคณะผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม
เวลา ๑๓.๐๐ น. พิธีเวียนเทียนประทักษิณรอบองค์พระปฏิมา ๓ รอบ
เวลา ๑๓.๓๐ น. แสดงพระธรรมเทศนาหนึ่งกัณฑ์
เวลา ๑๕.๐๐-๑๗.๐๐ น. สอนพุทธศาสนาและกัมมัฏฐาน
เวลา ๑๘.๐๐ น. พระสงฆ์พร้อมผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม และสาธุชนทำวัตรเย็น เจริญเมตตาภาวนา
จึงขอเชิญท่านผู้มีจิตศรัทธา ได้มาบวชถือศีลปฏิบัติธรรม ทำบุญ ตักบาตร ทำวัตรเช้า-เย็น ฝึกการทำสมาธิ เจริญเมตตาภาวนา ฟังพระธรรมเทศนา เป็นการเสริมสร้างบุญวาสนาบาร มีธรรมให้กับตนเองได้ตามวันเวลา สถานที่ดังกล่าว โดยความพร้อมเพรียงกัน.
