Maghapuja Day is a full moon day in the third lunar month.  On this day, 1,250 monks who were personally ordained by Lord Buddha himself came from different places without previous appointment to pay homage to Lord Buddha at Veluwan Vihara in Rajgaha. All the monks were enlightened monks (Arahants). This meeting became a miracle. In the evening of that day, Lord Buddha gave the assembly the important sermon called "Ovadha Patimokha" saying the fundamental principles of his Teachings which is summarized into three points: to do good, to abstain from doing evil and to purify the mind. The schedule is as follows:

06:00 AM        Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform morning chant

07:00 AM        Offer breakfast to monks and the 8 percepts participants

10:00 AM        Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform morning chant

11:00 AM        Offer lunch to monks and the 8 percepts participants

01:00 PM         Public led by monks carry candle, incenses and flowers, walking   clockwise three             times around the religious hall in remembering of   Buddha, Dharma and Sangha

01:30 PM         Listen to Dharma (Buddha’s teachings)

03:00-05:00 PM Buddhism and meditation lessons

06:00 PM         Monks, the 8 precepts participants and public perform evening chant

We would like to invite you to participate in the ordination accepting the 8 precepts and join in meditation, collection of merit and listening to Dharma teachings.

กำหนดวันทำบุญวันมาฆบูชา

วันมาฆบูชา   เป็นวันสำคัญวันหนึ่งในพระพุทธศาสนา    ประกอบด้วยเหตุ การณ์ที่สำคัญ  มีรายละเอียด ย่อๆดังต่อไปนี้  วันนั้นเป็นวันเพ็ญเดือน ๓  พระสงฆ์สาวก จำนวน ๑,๒๕๐  องค์     มาประชุมกันโดยมิได้นัดหมาย   พระสงฆ์ที่มาประชุมนั้นล้วนเป็นพระอรหันต์ทุกรูปได้รับการ อุปสมบทจากพระพุทธเจ้า    และพระพุทธองค์ได้วางหลักฐานในการประกาศพระพุทธศาสนา เพื่อความพร้อมเพรียง ในการประกอบพิธีกรรมุทธณฑ์ได้ทรงวางหลักการในการประกาศพระศาสนาละพระพพระสงฆ์ที่มาประชุมล้วนเป็นพระอรหันต์ขีณาสพ   ดังต่อไปนี้ จึงได้กำหนดการ ประกอบกิจกรรมไว้ดังนี้

วันอาทิตย์  ที่ ๑๖ กุมภาพันธ์    ๒๕๖๘

            ๐๖.๐๐ น.      พระสงฆ์พร้อมผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม ทำวัตรเช้า

            ๐๗.๐๐ น.     ถวายภัตตาหารเช้าแด่พระสงฆ์และผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม

            ๑๐.๐๐ น.      พระสงฆ์พร้อมสาธุชนทำวัตรเช้า   ถวายพรพระ  ออกรับบิณฑบาต

            ๑๑.๐๐ น.      ถวายภัตตาหารเพลแด่พระสงฆ์ และคณะผู้ปฏิบัติธรรม

            ๑๓.๐๐ น.     เวียนเทียนประทักษิณ รอบพระปฏิมา ๓ รอบ

            ๑๓.๓๐ น.    มีพระธรรมเทศนาหนึ่งกัณฑ์

            ๑๕.๐๐ – ๑๗.๐๐  น.    สอนกัมมัฏฐาน

            ๑๘.๐๐ น.     คณะสงฆ์พร้อมสาธุชนทำวัตรค่ำ เจริญเมตตาภาวนา

จึงขอเชิญท่านผู้มีจิตศรัทธา ได้มาบวชถือศีลปฏิบัติธรรม  ทำบุญ ตักบาตร  ทำวัตรเช้า-เย็น ฝึกการทำสมาธิ เจริญเมตตาภาวนา  ฟังพระธรรม เทศนา เป็นการเสริมสร้างบุญวาสนาบารมีธรรม ให้กับตนเอง   ได้ตามวันเวลาสถานที่ดังกล่าวโดยความพร้อมเพรียงกัน.
